“I am a fine art painter working in the “”old master’s”” realistic style of drawing and oil painting. My subject matter is primarily coastal scenes and wildlife incorporating historical subjects whenever possible.
My work has won local, national and international awards. I am a signature member of the NC Wildlife Artist Society, my wildlife art has appeared many times in the yearly NC Wildlife Resource Commission Calendar. My work has been selected for the NC Ducks Unlimited yearly print and I work with several local Ducks Unlimited chapters creating artwork for auction. I am a long standing member of the NC Village of Yesteryear where our primary purpose is to demonstrate traditional heritage handcrafts each year at our State Fair. I teach individual and group art lessons and workshops focusing first on fundamental elements of art, the importance of light and shadow and learning to observe how an object exists in space using value to recreate that object.
